Oktoberfest Frequently Asked Questions
Q. When is the Oktoberfest held?
A. The Washington Beer Commission’s Oktoberfest will be held on September 12th & 13th, 2008. The Festival will be open 4-10pm on Friday and 1-10pm on Saturday.
Admission and token sales will end at 9:15pm and taps will close at 9:30pm on both days. Please make your plans accordingly.
Q. Where will the Oktoberfest be held?
A. The Festival will be held in the parking lot behind the Pyramid Alehouse, just south of Downtown Seattle.

Q. How much is admission and what does it include?
A. Admission is $25 at the gate and includes a tasting mug and 6 tokens. Additional
tokens are $1.50 each.
Designated driver admission is $5 and available at the gate only. This is a 21+
only event.
Q. Are advance tickets available?
A. Yes. Advance tickets are available also at $25 and you will receive the same tasting mug and 8 tokens (2 bonus tokens!) with an advance ticket. Tickets are available online now and sales at ticket outlets will early August. Advance ticket sales will end at 5am on Friday, September 12th.
Tickets are good for one day only and non-refundable.
Q. How big is a “taste”?
A. There are two different sizes of tastes- you can get a half mug taste (6oz) for one token or you can get a full mug taste (12oz) for two tokens.
Q. Do you offer Happy Hour deal?
A. Yes! If you arrive between 4-6pm on Friday you’ll receive additional 2 tokens.
Q. Is there food available at the event?
A. There will be limited food options available at the event for purchase (Bratwursts & pretzels) and Pyramid Alehouse, located adjacent to the event, will be serving their full menu inside the restaurant. Please make sure to get a re-entry stamp before going inside the restaurant.
Q. What payment options are available?
A. We accept cash and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), cash and personal checks. For advance ticket purchase we accept credit cards online and cash and checks only at ticket outlets.
Q. Can we bring our kids?
A. Sorry, this is a 21+ only event.
Q. Is parking available on site?
A. The Festival does not offer parking space. However, there are many parking garages and lots, and some street parking available within walking distance from the venue.
Q. What are the things that we are not allowed to bring in?
A. Outside food, alcohol, any types of glass containers and furniture are not allowed in the Festival. Absolutely NO GLASSWARE please! We will only serve beer in the official Festival mugs or WABL glasses.
Q. Are dogs allowed?
A. Sorry, pets are not allowed at the Festival.
Q. What’s WABL and what do I get if I join?
A. WABL is the WAshington Beer Lovers Club and the members will receive many exclusive offers throughout the year, including a special WABL glass mug (GLASS, not plastic!) at this year’s Oktoberfest. Plus WABL members will get to try a WABL Beer, a special beer brewed for the Festival that is available EXCLUSIVELY to the WABL members (one token per 6oz taste).
