Optimism Brewing releasing first barrel-aged beer

On Saturday, April 22nd, Optimism Brewing taps its first barrel-aged beer and you are invited to the festivities. Here are the details from the brewery. Also, keep an eye on the Facebook event page.

Optimism is tapping our first barrel-aged beer at a special release party on Saturday, 4/22. Come taste this barrel-aged version plus two more! We’re introducing three unique variations of our latest beer.
- Wee Mighty, a malty Scotch Ale that’s rich with flavors of dark caramel and dried fruits.
- Whiskee Wee Mighty, we barrel-aged Wee Mighty in Seattle-based distilling company, Copperworks’ single malt whisky barrels. The result is big malt-driven beer with brown sugar and a soft honey aroma.
- Whiskee Wee Mighty on nitro for a creamier, smoother variation.
Flights of all three will be available so you can try them all and taste the subtle nuances between the three. You can take-home a 32oz can of Whiskee Wee Mighty and Wee Mighty.
