Beer tourism is a real thing. Likely, many of you travel to other cities to experience the beer culture. Random beer tourists from across North America regularly contact me asking for advice about visiting Seattle for beer. At least one hotel in Seattle recognizes the trend and has created some enticing offers for beer lovers.
Hotel Max, located downtown at 7th and Stewart, just announced a new Room with a Brew program, which invites guests to stay in a room equipped with beer on tap--fresh, local beer from Pike Brewing Company.
The Room with a Brew package pairs overnight accommodations in a Hotel Max guestroom with a personal kegerator filled with one of Pike Brewing's beers: Pike IPA, Kilt Lifter, Naughty Nellie, or Pike Pale Ale. The kegerator serves up to 60 glasses of beer for you to enjoy from the comfort of your room.
For those who want to keep the party in the lobby, Hotel Max offers a daily "craft beer hour" from 5:30 thru 6:30. Just show your room key and valid ID and you'll get a free pint from their rotating selection of craft beers. While you suck down your free brewski, order up some food from Millers Guild, Chef Jason Wilson's meat-focused restaurant located next to the lobby. Wilson is a James Beard Award winner, by the way.
Room with a Brew packages start at $259 per night and include:
- A Max King, Max Two Bed or Max Studio Suite room.
- A private kegerator filled with your choice of beer from Pike Brewing.
- Two 20-ounce Pike Brewing pint glasses (yours to keep).
- Package must be reserved at least one week in advance of arrival date. Pre-paid and non-refundable.
- There’s a simple party waiver we will need you to sign. Just in-case you get any real wild ideas!
Another cool thing about Hotel Max, it hums with a rock-n-roll vibe. Not just in terms of decor, but the hotel even offers rooms with turntables and vinyl collections curated by Sub Pop Records. Spin some vinyl, drink some beer, find a place to stage dive. Very Seattle.
Visit the Hotel Max website for details and to make reservations.
